Characteristics of the product

Coated glass is glass that has been coated with various substances to provide it additional qualities. The coating process is separated into two major categories, which are as follows:

1. Hard-coated Glass :

It is an online coating or pyrolytic CVD process, which means that the coating is generated while float glass is being manufactured. Spraying the coating substance on glass surface while it is heating causes the coating material to be adherent to the glass, allowing it to be tempered. However, colours of hard-coated glass are limited.

2. Soft-coated Glass:

It is an offline coating or magnetron sputtering technique which occurs after float glass manufacturing process, resulting in the coating that is less adherent to glass than hard-coated glass. This type of glass cannot be tempered or heat-strengthened; yet, due to advances in technology, certain soft-coated glass can be tempered and heat-strengthened. This kind of coated glass is available in a range of colours.
